MSU/USDA Graduate Summer Research Experience in High-Performance Computing and Agriculture

The application period for the 2023 SRE Program has expired. Please check back in January 2024 for new program dates.

Application Procedure:

To be considered for the 2023 SRE program, applicants must:

  • Complete an online SRE application
  • Submit a CV or resume highlighting their research experience and current research interests
  • Have two professionals/faculty members submit recommendations on your behalf to dixie@gri.mssate.edu prior to the application deadline.
Completed applications with faculty recommendations and transcripts must be received by Friday, February 17, 2023. Late applications will not be considered.

Academic Information
Please answer the following questions about your academic background.
Coursework and Grades
List all courses completed at your current educational level and the grades you received. Include courses in which you are currently enrolled, even if grades are not yet available. Make certain course titles are informative and include a brief course description. If this is your first semester as a graduate student, include some information about your prior academic performance.

Research Interest
Please list the research area(s) in which you would be interested in working. Please prioritize your choices with one (1) being your first choice. MSU and USDA scientist will use this list to find applicants whose research interests match their own.

Research Experience
Please provide any additional information you feel is important for us to know concerning your research interests (Limit to 150 words or less).

References
Provide the name of of two professionals/faculty members who can evaluate your work ethic, interpersonal skills, potential as a summer research scholar, and who can comment on your interest in research.
