Research Interest
Over the past 20 years Wes has conducted a body of research addressing wildlife response to conservation practices in working landscapes. Wes's research interests include restoration of native grasslands and fire-dependent southern pine-grasslands. His research focus include northern bobwhite, grassland songbirds, and pine-grassland bird species. Wes has been a frequent cooperator with USDA-FSA, -NRCS, and -APHIS. He led the USDA-NRCS Bobwhite Restoration Project and is currently coordinating the National CP33 Monitoring program.
