GRI Researcher to Attend Student Day at DHS Conference

Dr. Jody Holland, Post-Doctoral Research Associate with GRI, will attend the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science Conference's Student Day on March 29th in Washington, DC. Holland's student poster abstract received a favorable review in the Student Day Poster Competition and is invited to participate in a panel and give an oral presentation describing his research.
The theme for the 2011 annual conference is “Catastrophes and Complex Systems,” with a focus on the role of transportation systems in preventing, mitigating, responding to, and recovering from natural or man-made disasters.
The DHS Office of University Programs is hosting the event for undergraduate and graduate students who are sponsored by the DHS Office of University Programs and Centers of Excellence.
