GRI Researcher Wins National Award

Jody Holland, Postdoctoral Associate with the Geosystems Research Institute, won a national award for his paper, New Public Management in Transportation Policy: Investigating the Utilization of Information Technology in the NEPA Process. His research paper was submitted as part of the student paper competition of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) Section on Transportation Policy and Administration (STPA) held annually. STPA invited undergraduate and graduate students who have written research papers related to transportation policy and administration during calendar year 2009 to submit their papers for consideration.

Dr. Holland received the award at the 2010 ASPA Conference which was held in San Jose, CA, on April 9th-13th. The ASPA Conference brings together hundreds of federal, state and local government officials as well as employees, scholars, practitioners, new professionals and students for training, networking, exchanging ideas and learning about current practices in the field.
