GRI - Campus

The GeoResources Institute is located in the Thad Cochran Research and Technology Park in Starkville, Mississippi, adjacent to the main campus of Mississippi State University. Visitors are always welcomed. If you are interested in visiting GRI at its campus facility, please schedule your visit ahead of time by calling (662) 325-9573, or by coming by the main office of the HPC2 building. Visitors are asked to sign the Visitor Log in the main office upon arrival.

All vehicles at the GRI facilities are required to have an MSU parking decal. Vehicles without a proper decal are subject to a parking ticket. Visitors upon registering with the main office can obtain a parking pass. The parking pass is to be placed on the rear-view mirror of your vehicle.

GRI - John C. Stennis Space Center

The Stennis Space Center is a federal facility and visits to Stennis are regulated by NASA security. The following steps are necessary for anyone intending to visit SSC.

ALL SSC VISITORS MUST FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES. NO EXCEPTIONS.


U.S. Citizens*

Forms

All US citizens must submit a visit request 5 days in advance of the visit. Forms are to be submitted to the GRI-SSC office.

The MSU Office of Research flights to the Stennis Space Center have been discontinued.


Foreign Nationals**

Forms

All Foreign National visitors must submit a completed NASA visit form 35 days in advance of the visit. Forms are to be submitted to GRI-SSC.

In addition, if the visit is for more than 30 days, the following two (2) forms must be submitted 50 days in advance of the visit to the GRI-SSC office.

* Upon the visit, Naturalized Citizens must provide proof of citizenship.
** Upon the visit, Foreign Nationals, must provide a visa and/or passport for documentation purposes.

Any persons planning to visit GRI at Stennis, please coordinate your visit with the GRI-SSC main office. Email submission of the forms is preferred, or they can be faxed to GRI-SSC at 228-688-7100.
