GRI - John C. Stennis Space Center

Mississippi State University's GeoResources Institute (GRI) includes its operations at NASA's John C. Stennis Space Center (SSC), near the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Already recognized as a major center for research in oceanography and meteorology, the GRI-Stennis operation also provides software engineering, computer modeling, and applications development services in resource management, air and water quality, remote sensing, visualization of large datasets, and other disciplines relating to geospatial and computer sciences.

The Stennis Space Center not only accommodates NASA, but many federal and state organizations, national and local businesses, as well as several universities. GRI's offices at SSC are located within the Mississippi Technology Transfer Center managed by the Mississippi Enterprise for Technology.
